‘Thinking global. Acting local.’ This easy formula seems to become one of the most important aspects for any successful business all over the world. Despite the fact that modern cultures intensively adapt to one common standard, they still preserve their unique features that should be taken into consideration while running business internationally.
Amasty understands this and continues adjusting its modules to the needs of local markets.
New validation tool
Along with the updated version of the Customer Attributes Module that supports RUT validation for Chilean market Amasty has recently developed a new feature that supports validation rules for Brazilian CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas) and CNPJ (Cadastro Nacional de Pessoas Jurídicas). We want to thank Alberto Camin, our client and friend, for active assistance in developing this validation tool.
Digging into details
The two adapted features have been developed on the Luhn algorithm basis, also known as ‘modulus 10’. It was created by IBM specialist Hans Peter Luhn more than 50 years ago and has become an indispensable tool for numbers validation since then. The algorithm is widely used for validation such identification numbers such as credit card numbers, IMEI numbers etc.
With the new feature Brazilian merchants get the opportunity to easily validate specific CPF and CNJP numbers, thus protecting their online stores from frauds and visibly increasing admin users’ productivity.
Meeting the needs of each client has always been of a high priority to Amasty team, that’s why we thoroughly study the specifics of any particular local market to make our extensions more user-friendly. We are always open for new cooperation and we’ll continue actively adjust our extensions to the specific needs of local markets.
